Meeting with Dr. Safari, the Deputy for Economic Diplomacy at the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs
In this meeting, attended by some members of the board of directors of the International Cooperative of Original Ancient Land Saffron (Public Joint Stock), discussions were held with the Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs regarding the cooperative’s policies in international markets. The goal of this meeting was to explore ways to present the capacities of this public joint stock saffron cooperative in order to offer farmers’ products directly to target countries, ensuring that the profits are credited to the farmers.
Certainly, the presence of tens of thousands of saffron-producing shareholders, both directly and indirectly, provides a significant backing for this cooperative.
At the end of the meeting, Dr. Safari expressed his satisfaction with the actions taken by the cooperative, stating: “The establishment of such a public joint stock cooperative in the saffron sector is a step forward in non-oil exports and a very positive move to support saffron producers. This ministry will spare no effort in supporting these hardworking individuals.”
