Last week, on May 15, 2023, the inauguration ceremony of the company was held in the presence of the Acting Minister of Agriculture.
Dr. Aghamir, the esteemed Acting Minister of Agriculture, attended the opening ceremony and emphasized that supporting saffron farmers and saffron exports are the main goals of this company.
He stated:
“From now on, the Ministry of Agriculture will have no involvement in the supportive purchasing of saffron. The government will delegate the purchase of saffron from farmers, its supply to the domestic market, and its export to the Cooperative of Authentic Saffron of the Ancient Land.”
“We plan to replace unions and associations with the government and support them through banks.”
