The first session for financing the supportive purchase of saffron was held in the Special Commission for Production Leap in the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Parliament). This session was organized by Dr. Zangeneh, a member of the commission and the head of the Production Barriers Removal Committee, and was attended by Dr. Alai Moghadam, the Planning Deputy of the Ministry of Jihad Agriculture, Dr. Karimi Biravan, the Employment Deputy of the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, as well as the heads of the Commodity Exchange, the Iran Cooperative Chamber, a representative of the Original Saffron of Ancient Land, and representatives from the Investment Development Fund and the Cooperative Investment Guarantee Fund. During the meeting, Dr. Karimi and Dr. Alai Moghadam promised to explore financial solutions. Following this session, several in-person meetings took place with the deputies, and the chairwoman of the board, Ms. Manoochehri, along with board member Mr. Jahanshiri, presented the financial model for obtaining facilities. After the financial presentation, the type of process for granting facilities to cooperatives was confirmed.
